"Law is nothing else but the best reason of wise men applied for ages to the transactions and business of mankind." Recollected Words of Abraham Lincoln compiled and edited by Don E. Fehrenbacher and Virginia Fehrenbacher (Stanford, Stanford University Press, 1996), p. 243.
There is a concomitant duty that lawyers have in addition to the thorough and conscientious practice of law and that is to the education of the public and the dissemination of information. After all, it's their law and we should be teachers. It's encumbenet whenever possible to explain the law the public is charged with knowing and following. Throughout my professional legal career I've enjoyed a duality of identity of sorts in Lionel, my media nom de plume of sorts. The public is fascinated by legal issues and those that impact upon heir lives directly.
W42ST Magazine recently highlighted Lionel as lawyer, Hell's Kitchen denizen, vegan and abassador of midtown.
